Marc D. Ritter, M.Sc. | Neuroscientist & CEO of AWE Digital Wellness
Most people see a behavioral problem. I see a neurochemical adaptation.
As a neuroscientist specialized in the mechanics of addiction, I don’t believe in "managing" screen time. I believe in reclaiming the biological agency that an entire industry is designed to hijack.
But it wasn’t always this simple…
Before I was a neuroscientist, I was a statistic.
I spent years lost in the high-dopamine loops of digital addiction - depressed, isolated, and watching my own potential evaporate behind a screen.
I wasn't lacking willpower; I was a human being whose biological reward system had been expertly hijacked by an industry I didn't yet understand. I didn't just study the "zombie state;” I lived in it.
Decoding the Mechanics of the Trap
Desperate to understand how my own brain had turned against me, I went to the source.
I earned my Master of Science in Neuroscience, dedicating my research to the specific neural pathways of video game and digital addiction. I moved from the lab to the clinic, treating the first generation of "digital natives" who were losing their agency to algorithms.
I discovered that you cannot "talk" a brain out of a biological adaptation—you have to re-engineer the environment.
Founding the global standard
Individual treatment wasn't enough; the crisis was systemic.
I co-founded AWE Digital Wellness to scale these neuro-protocols to an institutional level, serving as CEO to bridge the gap between hard science and global education. Today, I lead a team of psychologists, psychiatrists and coaches to restore human focus in schools and organizations worldwide.
Why I am here
I don’t want your child to spend a decade fighting the battle I fought. I’ve distilled years of research, clinical treatment, and executive leadership into the AWE Protocol. I am here to give you the strategic intervention I wish my own family had years ago.
